Stuffed Peppers Recipe


1 lb ground beef
4 green bell peppers
1/2 white onion
2 portabella mushrooms
1/2 jar Tomato/marinara sauce
Shredded cheese of your choice  


  1. Heat pan on medium heat and preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Dice the onion and mushrooms.  Begin cooking the onion in the pan
  3. When the onion starts to get translucent, add the meat and mushrooms
  4. Slice the top of the bell peppers off and remove the core + seeds
  5. Once the meat has been browned, drain off the excess fat
  6. Add the sauce and salt & pepper the mixture to taste.  Stir occasionally
  7. Put the peppers in a baking dish and fill them with the meat mixture when it begins to simmer
  8. Bake the peppers.  After 10 minutes, pull them out and cover with shredded cheese
  9. Bake for 5 more minutes
